New updates have gone live for Return Journeys, Vehicle Activity, Diary, Dashboard and the Accounting module today.

Return Journeys

What’s new?

You can now add an extra “via” location when adding a journey.

How do I use it?

When adding a journey, enter a location in the “via point 2” field for the second location you will be travelling via

In order to accommodate this, the form layout has been slightly changed so the “Regular Journey?” and “Go Anywhere?” tick boxes have been moved below the “via point 2” field

Benefits

Load matches will take your second via point into consideration and the second via point will be displayed to other members when they view a journey

It is a good way to force the system to pick a particular route when matching jobs

Vehicle Activity

What’s new?

Labels for “Destination & ETA” and “Add Journey” have now been changed to “Next Destination & ETA” and “Add Future Journey”

The option to enter an extra “via” location is available when adding a future journey

How do I use it?

Click “Add Future Journey” to add a journey and enter a location in the “via point 2” field for the second location the vehicle will be travelling via

Diary and Dashboard

What’s new?

When you have entered the full address details for your load on the post load, book direct or allocate job forms, the booking blocks in your diary and on the dashboard will change to reflect these details

Address details are also displayed when entering and viewing a POD and the PDF

How do I use it?

Enter address details when confirming or allocating a booking

Benefits

It is now easier to view specific bookings by address details as opposed to viewing bookings with generic locations

Accounting

What’s new?

You can now process payments for numerous invoices for the same customer at once

How do I use it?

Click on Accounts Receivable > Payments > Bulk Process > Select customer from dropdown menu > Tick boxes for invoices which have been paid, select the payment method, add notes if appropriate and click save

Marking numerous invoice as paid saves time

New updates have gone live for the Charges section, Vehicle Activity Management console and the Accounting module today.

Charges

What’s new?

The fields for Waiting Time, Loading Time and Cancellation Charges have been derestricted. You can now enter charge information without it only being applicable per hour.

If you have already added charge information, you do not need to re-enter it as it has been applied to this new feature automatically.

How do I use it?

After you have clicked on Settings > Company Profile, enter the information in the relevant fields in the Charges section and click save.

Added flexibility when communicating additional charges to other members.

Accounting

What’s new?

Add notes to invoices in the accounts payable section of the accounting system.

How do I use it?

When viewing invoices in the Accounts Payable, you can add a note to an individual or the same note for multiple invoices with one entry by checking the box(es) next to the invoice(es) under the notes column and then clicking the green plus icon to add your note.

If you would like to add the same note for all invoices, click select all in the notes column header and then click the green plus icon to add your note.

What’s new?

When marking an invoice as paid, the amount of the payment to be processed will automatically be pre-populated with the total value of the invoice.

How do I use it?

Click on the green plus icon for the invoice on the view my invoices section of the Accounts Receivable tab, double check the information and click save.

Mobile App update:

Mobile App update:

The Mobile App has been updated with a bug fix and is now available to download on Android and iPhone.

The fix solved the issue the App had updating job statuses following time spent in areas with bad or no network coverage.

If a booking status was submitted whilst the phone had no signal, the status was supposed to update when the device regained signal. This did not happen and the booking would as a result stay incomplete. 
 
This has now been fixed so that any updates to the booking are submitted to the booking once the device has signal again.

Please download the updated version of the App to benefit from the fix. You may find that the App has already been updated to the latest 2.2.1 version but if not then update it manually.

Document Compliance

What’s New?

We have removed the expiry date for VAT and Certificate of incorporation

How Do I use it?

No action required.  These documents will automatically have the expiry date option removed
